 Post subject: Help identify this wood?

Hi folks. I sanded this in a corner but couldn't get a distinct smell out of it. Purchased with an old stash of rosewood.. Any opinions appreciated.

It looks kind of like dalbergia tucarensis (guatemalen rosewood) but that has a sweet smell. Maybe sand a bit more to see if it gives off an odor.
