The video of Tony Dunne playing my zoukulele at the Newport Guitar Festival this past April has been put up on YouTube.

The zoukulele is strung with 4 double (unison) courses, tuned GCEA (the same as a uke tuned with a low G; also the same as the top four strings of a guitar [DGBE] capoed at the 5th fret). The instrument took a little tumble as the stage was being set up, right before Tony got up to play it. Apparently, one of the E string tuners got knocked a bit out of tune, but I think Tony's playing makes it sound good anyway.

There are several photos of this zoukulele on my web site, if you'd like to get a better look at it. If you have any questions about the instrument, fire away.

Thanks for looking and listening!

Very cool instrument Todd! It has a great sound. I especially liked the Bensusan piece.

Hello Todd, Nice instrument. I am originally from Corning, NY and I am headed there as soon as I leave the Middle East before returning to DC. Ithaca is one of m favorite places in upstate, NY. Can't wait to get home.

Thanks, Edward and Joey! I still haven't gotten to see the whole video myself, since I'm on dial-up at home and have been to busy to get out and see it elsewhere. Anyway, I appreciate your comments. I am extremely pleased with the way this instrument came out sounding. It is really a blast to play. I'm just starting to work on a CD of mostly original music (recording in my home studio and playing most of the instruments myself), and I'll be using the zoukulele on just about every piece.

Joey, if you find yourself in Ithaca, you're more than welcome to drop by my place. We're just south of town, in Danby, actually. You can get my contact info off my web site, or send me a pm here.
