Does anyone know of someone in the Pacific Northwest (preferably the Portland, OR area) who's in the business of finishing guitars?

If you're talking acoustics, I haven't looked in several years but when I did, there was nobody. I send mine all the way to Tony Ferguson in Michigan and it's well worth the shipping.

There used to be a guy south of Olympia who does electrics. I could hunt down his name if you like.

If you haven't already, you could try http://www.soundguitarworkshop.com/ I thought they were sponsors here for awhile but I don't see the link.

You could also try SLUG http://www.seattleluthiers.org They have an email list you could send your question to.

edit: there are a ton of builders in Portland to ask too.

Pioneer in Portland did most of my Martin when I had some repair done. Maybe they would do it. It was good work.
