Stainless steel heat treating tool wrap, .002 thick, for temperatures up to 2000 degrees F. Found 2 rolls of this stuff out in my machine shop. Cut pretty decently with scissors, just watch out for it being VERY sharp! (the blood wipes off the stainless quite well.) Not sure what I think of the $20 can of 3M Spray Mount adhesive though. I'll probably have to touch up a couple places with some CA to get full adhesion on the stainless to the form.

Nice that has to add a little more protection from heat than just regular aluminium foil. Looks neat and clean too.

Oh man, be careful with that stuff! Used to have a job stamping out pieces from 4 and 5 mill SS. That was sharp!!! Guys got cut horribly trying to wrestle the writhing bundle of it into the dumpster. I got them to put a take up roller for the scrap and then we just had some 12" rolls to recycle.

Gives me the heebies just thinking about it.

It was neat and clean (after getting cut on it twice and wiping it down...lol) and I'm sure I'll have better protection than just the heavy duty alum foil I was planning on using. Bent 2 sides on it tonight using three 200 watt bulbs. I let it heat up the first time for 15 minutes before bending. Bending took about 8 minutes and then going thru a 1 hour cool down b4 removing the side. The second set I turned on the bulbs with the timer after using the blocks to pin my bottom steel slat to trap the heat and get it to heat up quicker and started my bends at only 5 min of preheat time. Completed the bends in less than 1 minute for a total start to finish time of 6 minutes. I will be buying the blankets from John Hall in the future b4 tackling my BRW and Cocobolo, but for now on the Hog and EIR I'm going to use the light bulbs. I've been blowing thru $ on tools and making appropriate jigs like crazy so had to go the cheapo route with something!
