Its been a while since I last posted, so I guess its time to let you all now what ive been up to...

I recently got a new workshop, and these are the two first guitars to come out of it. I've named them after their personalities :) :

First, its the 'Koa Madness': This is my 12f dread model, koa back and sides(and bindings) and awesome Lutz from Shane! Headplate, bridge and buttwedge are brw.

Then theres the 'Brazilian Madness'! Brw back, sides, bindings, bridge, fretboard and headplate... The top is swiss spruce from Florinett.

Two beauties Lars! And both with killer zoot! Is the Brazilian madness an L-00? Sure is sexy.

Yes, forgot to mention that... Its an L00 inspired model, I simply call it Model L.

Doing the matched binding on the koa guitar was really an experiment. It didnt turn out very good because I left the binding too thick, and that made it impossible matching the flames all the way around the guitar. Well, next time I'll know. ;)

Amazing Koa! And I really love the 12 fret dread shape! Pretty elegant!

Tjena Lars,

those are pretty much the nicest guitars I've seen from a swedish luthier! Really classy and elegant, I would love to get to play them.

Where are you setting upp the new shop? Moving from Stockholm are you?

Lovely work!
Is the dread from a plan? If so, I would love to get a copy for myself, if you wouldn't mind sharing the source.
I've been building mostly 12 (and some 13) fret instruments for a while & this would be a great design to add to the mix.
Both instruments are beautifully executed.

Really nice all around! I like your headstock / neck shaft transition, very elegant and old-timey... What are the tuners, Waverly? We have to meet one of these days (so I can find out where yours stash is and burglarize it 8-) )

Congrats Lars, they're beauties. Too bad the koa has all those wrinkles in it. Why don't you send it to me and I'll try to press them out for you.

Wow Lars, those are really beautiful. I love the koa, I think making the bindings the same looks amazing. Also, the Lutz from Shane and the Florinett spruce I have are my favorite (non-red spruce) sets. Just spectacular wood, and you make it look great.

Great work, Lars. Did you make the pickguard material? The alignment of the koa binding with the sides is very cool.

Thanks all for the kind words!

Oskar, my new shop is located close to fridhemsplan, so im not planning to leave stockholm... Have we met? I recognice your name somehow.. drop by my shop if you want to!

Daniel, the body outline is traced from a santa cruz 12f dread, so i dont really have any plans. Im sorry about that, but maybe you can go hunting for a SC and trace it?

Arnt! We definitly have to meet up some day. Ive been wanting to visit trondheim for a long time now, and it might just happen that I'll take my girlfriend(soon wife :D) for a roadtrip north someday... And as you know, you have a standing invitation to my shop anytime you happen to be in stockholm. And yes, the tuners are waverlys!

Mr fingerstyle, the koa is from one of the olf sponsors, volcano guitar works. I bought it about three years ago, and since then the prices for that kind of figure has gone UP

Howard, i didnt make the pickguard, they are from LMI. Really nice looking pickguards! Ive made some from their tortis sheets aswell, but the preshaped ones are very nicely shaped although they need som final sanding and buffing. Im sorry about the stealing of your name... rememer now that you already have the 'dovetail madness'!

Cheers all and again thanks for the warm words!

There is nothing left to say that has not been said. They are both very impressive. I agree with everyone else.

That’s just a few blocks from where I live (Odenplan), I would love to come by some time and check out your new shop and hopefully some of your amazing guitars. We don’t know each other but you offered to help me out when I was having fret scale issues on my first guitar the last summer. You are actually one of the reasons why I am pursuing the dream to work as a luthier, I was really inspired by the fact that you were offered an apprenticeship with Somogyi and Bourgeois after your studies.
Would you mind having me over this week, or weekend if you don’t mind me bringing my puppy?

Beautiful Lars! I would love to play them. What bracing patterns did you use?
