This one is for a client in Buffalo NY and a good example of what I'm presently offering.

Why don't we have a wolf-whistle emoticon!!
Lost for words.....

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Very tasteful and elegant, David.
I like the narrow backstrip and the back binding/purfling treatment at the heel.

Do you use black roller tuners as standard, or was that a client request? (I'm thinking about some black tuners for a future build...)

Cheers
John

Quine,
Here's that detail:
It's a simple lay up of Brazilian rosewood, Indian rosewood, maple, holly and bloodwood.
I do have somethng different planned for Number 100, actually I've finished #98 and #99 is in progress. (Number #95 got out of sequence a bit).

The tuners were indeed a client request John but I do like them and likely will choose them again.

Thanks guys.

I'll be bringing my #90 Cypress and the #92 Brazilian rosewood guitars that I had wth me at both the ASIA and the Ithaca GFA shows last spring.
Everything since then has been commissoned and I wouldn't dare bring anything client-bound to a show.........

.........I'm much happier to have my demos get the play wear!

Stunning guitar as always David, you are an inspiration. I'm getting a lot of requests for Cypress guitars, is it the same of your side of the pond?

Nice looking guitar. Always nice to see a persons' experience diplayed in classy, but subtle, finish work. Should make your customer very happy.
