Hi everyone,

My wife, Barbara was nice enough to record a few songs today on my just finished build three. I'd love to have any feedback you all might have to offer.

Thanks for listening, Chris.

I think it sounds beautiful !! very crist and delicate sounding. you can hear its newand needs a few more weeks to fully open but I would say it sounds really good for a new guitar! also sounds like you have made a thin top and bracing ? at least thats how I hear it. whats the thickness and how did you brace it ? your wife plays beautiful ! . [:Y:] [:Y:]
Also. how was it recorded ?
Lars

Thanks Lars, I also will be curious to hear it when it opens up some. The top is very light, Englemann, thickness is right around .105. The braces are scalloped in standard X configuration, the tone bars are in pockets in the X brace. I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. Hope the next one is at least as good, although I'm shooting for better.

We recorded this time with my new USB condenser microphone and my wife's Mac running GarageBand. We use my auto shop for our studio, it really has very nice acoustics.

Well... to be fair, it's my wife that uses the Mac. They give me hives, I'm a PC guy to the bone. :-)

Yes, gotta have the shop clean and neat, can't find anything otherwise.

Hesh, where abouts is your mom?

It sounds real nice and you will like it even more as it opens up. Your wife plays real well.

Which model USB condenser are you using, I have been looking for one and can't decide what to get.

Fred

The guitar sounds nicely balanced and as Lars said will open up quite a bit more over time. I think you have a really nice guitar on your hands there!! (got a really nice player on your hands there too!!!) Well done [clap] [clap]

Thanks guys,

Fred,

It's a MXL USB.007 Stereo USB Condenser Microphone with two gold diaphragm capsules. I got it through one of Amazon's suppliers, seems to work pretty well.

Chris.
