This set is a little boring by Cocobolo standards but is quarter cut so no wild figure. It is now part of a Dreadnought that I started a couple week ago while waiting for the lacquer to cure on a couple guitars. This will be the 1st year I have started 3 guitars, and will probably be slow completing the D as the weather is getting too nice to spend a lot of time in the shop.

Yes I am, actually 4 as a friend from Detroit who is my 1st student and is building a Mahogany OM with Adi top. He has just taken it home to scrape the binding flush which will complete the body, he likes to have some homework. I just did final sanding on my 000 12 fret and will buff it tomorrow, the neck is already buffed, I should be picking a tune on it by next weekend. The OM cutaway wedge should be buffed by mid week and have strings by the middle of next week. The Dreadnought top is ready to brace but will wait now until the others are done.

Zounds, grant! That is some amazing coco. That second photo in particular is astonishing. Do you have stuff like that for sale? I seem to remember that I got some great Tazzie Blackwood from you at an OLF swap meet a while back, but must confess I don't remember your company name, if any. Please provide if possible.

Many thanks,
Max

Here is another interesting one, but I need to piece out the lower bout before I can use it. Gotta pick that wood carefully.

Cut a whole 8/4 billet of this, so I can build a stable of matching guitars :D

Grant, that stuff is so amazing, it's a shame to put it on the Back of a guitar...

A score from the UK - This set is owned by my tutor - I have the sister set, this is just cut so should darken rather nicely ;-)
