I don't suppose anyone can help me find a template for the Taylor GC8?

If so i will reward you with praise and adulation.

thanks!

No idea about templates, but John Hall @ bluescreekguitars lists a Taylor 12 series body mold (which is the GC8 body). I'm sure he can get you a bending pattern as well.

As for the position of the braces: Taylor show small images of the bracing of each model on the website:

http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/features/bracing/Types.aspx

So the Grand Concert image will give you a pretty good idea. Maybe you can print out the tiny image in original (19.5" body length) size. It'll look horrible, but may be good enough for a very crude template.

thank you christian. I suppose i meant body tracings, dimensions more so than templates, i'll check out the Taylor site.

Last time i took a ruler, pencil, and paper into Guitar Center, they looked at me funny. Salesman said "Wow, you really take the specs seriously huh?" :)

brenbren,

Not too long ago I went to the GC in West Haven & traced a Taylor GA because that was what my wife wanted. The manager was cool with it, though I did get some strange looks from other customers. Of course, after all that, my wife decided on a 000 14 fret, which I already have a pattern for. Gotta love her.....don
