I have a breedlove ad25/sm. the neck is "hand rubbed" not quite sure what that is but my question is this...

through the years of playing, the neck has started to lose that "silky smooth" feeling, and has actually become glossy. kind of like my hand has glossed it to a finish. how do i "rehand rub it"

I use an LR Baggs M1 active and sometimes through chord changes, you can hear my thumb rubbing the neck

thanks in advance

#0000 steel wool, rub lightly in the direction of grain and that should take the gloss off.
