Looks great. I can't wait to see some enlargements of the photos. BTW, how does one play it with so few strings? laughing6-hehe

I just finished one up myself, but it's a little bit different. I've never had much luck posting pics here, but you can see in on the MIMF under 'Other Instruments' in the '$100 Challenge'. Lot's 'o fun, and I'm really enjoying the sound!

Fantastic work Mike, I bet it is so rewarding to sit back and enjoy the sounds!

Seeing your images (and avatar) reminded me of a favorite vid on youtube of Michael Hedges.

Man! How does he do that with just two hands?

Mike.....great job!

Congratulations Mike! Sounds like a dream come true. Pretty special to create something like that. Is this your first instrument you've built? Also looking forward to lots of pics. I'm guessing your wife's In Vancouver? You may have got us in the Downhill but wait till the gold medal round in Hockey. :)

Cheers,
Danny

Ok, here are some pics. I wish I had polished it before hand, oh well. There are a number of issues reflected in this build having to do with the learing and relearing of the process. I am aware of those (and they are visually obvious). If you have thoughts that would lead to a better build, please let me know. Thanks!

Mike,

Big pictures at last 8-) . Fabulous job on your first harp guitar - Shane's Lutz looks awesome and the bubinga is really nice too. It's no mean feat making one of these beauties and you should be well pleased. It's onwards and upwards from here. If you get the chance in the future get (or make yourself) some bubinga tuner buttons for the banjo tuners. I'm looking forwards to hearing this beast roar and watching you build your next one.

Bubinga tuners? Now that is a cool idea! I have no idea how tuners are made. How? I have waverly ivoroids, but there is a fit issue. Beast, yes. The analogy of rice burners and muscle cars comes to mind. I understand why some have scaled down the size!
