The cedar top was from a woman in the Queen Charlotte Islands (B.C.). I ordered five tops from her and this one was the only very dark colored one in the lot. When I first tapped it I knew it was special, I saved it for a special project. This guitar is a gift for my son-in-law who happens to be the Dad of the best grandchildren on this planet!

Wow! It's a wonderful guitar!
I heard a lot from the cedar of the queen's lands...
I talked with the creator of the Godin Guitars (Robert Godin) who told me who go himself (well, his team) in these lands (were wood is free is you're able to ge it out) with special equipment and an helicopter to get the cedar (the HUGE cedar trees) out of there. I saw few rough blocks coming from these batches... Huge. And seems to be real great stuff

I had promised someone that I would post the Om and MJ dim spec sheets for comparison and I think I forgot to do so

Very handsome guitar. Those woods really do compliment each other nicely and your design is excellent.
