Does anyone build Barritone guitars? I have been looking at Taylors 8 stringer, it sounds pretty cool!

You may want to look at adding 8 or 9

mid-strings! It apparently brightens the sound alot!

I played that taylor baritone. personally I would rather have double strings on the 5th and 6th strings. was a pretty cool guitar though.

There was a 9-string guitar like that at HGF last year (I don't remember which Luthier made it). It was a hoot to play, as it sounded like two different instruments playing together. The octaves on 1-3 gave those strings a harpsicord quality and the bass strings sounded clear and resonant in contrast. I think it would be even more of a fun contrast with steel octaves on 1-3 and nylon on 4-6.
