It was suggested to me that we run a consolation round of the weekly quiz to provide other members with an opportunity to win... :)

The prize for the wiener of this round is my old vac nozzle....

Yep that's right, I actually used my vac so very much that I wore out the accessory cleaning nozzle and just received a replacement in the mail. The wiener will receive my old nozzle and pays shipping and insurance charges. Also, for an additional $10 I will be happy to sign my old nozzle and for an additional $25 I will attribute my signature to the specific wiener of the quiz. :D

To win please answer all of the questions below correctly. The first OLFer to do so wins. Should no one win by noon tomorrow the nozzle will be added to next week's prize. Only one entry per OLFer. Previous quiz wieners please sit this one out. Offer void where prohibited and pretty much everywhere else.... :D

Question 1) The term "butt wedge" refers to:

a) An often decorative graft of wood or other materials or both where the sides meet at the end of the lower bout of the guitar.

b) The act of yanking someone's underwear waist band upward forcing their underwear.... well you know....

c) A tool for splitting logs....

Question 2) A Popsicle brace is the:

a) Brace north of the upper transverse brace that may or may not, depending on your own perspective, help belay cracks in the top next to the fretboard.

b) Useless and is removed by some folks who hot rod guitars thinking that this will open up the upper bout more.

c) One implementation of a bracing strategy where another is to use an "A frame."

d) All of the above.

Question 3) It is believed that making a sound hole larger may:

a) increase bass response.

b) decrease bass response.

c) make it easier to lose your pick.

Question 4) Lutherie is a

a) science.

b) art.

c) freaking expensive....

d) all of the above.

There you have it - first one to answer all questions correctly by my read wins. Good luck!! :? :) :D

Waddy, Rod, Lillian one of my two PURPLE Dysons broke the other day and then I go and wear out the nozzle on my beloved Festool vac..... :( :? Fortunately being redundant and having two PURPLE Dysons saved the day and my cleaning routine.....

BTW this is the 3rd nozzle replacement for my Festool..... beehive bliss idunno :D
