where are you getting your cases for the olf sj ? all tamarkin has to offer is a dread size, which does not fit correctly, jody

Ameritage has cases for these.
They are a sponsor of this forum (at top of page) and I've heard nothing but good reviews about the people and products.

If you want a decent case that costs less than an Ameritage TKL makes one that fits the OLF SJ fine. I have one here and the model number escapes me. Anthony Z bought one too for his SJ and he liked the fit too. I'll try to see if I can find the invoice and get a model number for you but IIRC price was around $130 and there was no wait either it was an off-the-shelf item.

If you want the Ameritage there should be no wait as they had planed to keep a stock of the OLF-SJ gold series in stock with standard features, red plush interior and toupee exterior with burgundy piping and gold hardware. OLF member use to get a discount but I don't know if that is still the case (pardon the pun) or not. The model number is AM32-OLFSJ. Shoot Nancy and email at nancyw@gwwcases.com

Michael bro do you know if Ameritage is servicing the OLF SJ with the Silver Series? That might be more attractive to folks wishing to not pay as much as the Gold series costs.

Good question Heshy! I do not know but I am sure they will if asked. they have the specs in hand.

I'm wondering if that toupee exterior comes in standard colors.... brown, black, blond, gray....?

Michael no offense my friend but if you have been using a spell checker YOU need to get a new computer.....

I have a very recent list of the Silver Series from Nancy, and currently it does not appear as though they are offering anything for the OLF plans, just the standard Martin fanfare...But the builder discount list for the gold series is HUGELY competitive when you compare the value of the merchandise...

Nancy is beyond incredibly helpful...just shoot her an email...

since reasonably priced cases are non existant, john at tamarkin said he could have custom cases made , he needs to order 24 from his manufacturer for them to set up a special run, he said he would do so if he had 12 pre sold, I just bought a decent tweed (laminate) D sized case for about $90.00 and had it here the next day . if enough people are interested, I can find the exact details and set it up , so individuals can call him directly and pay for the cases they want ... just a thought. well I have one person interested in two cases, I would take two myself if anyone else is interested, I am going to call john at tamarkin on monday to sort out the details, the thing is once he has them in stock we will be able to purchase them individualy. which is the reason I am doing this . Jody
