Buffers seem to be one subject you will get replies to that are all over the spectrum. The Grizzly, if I am not mistaken, is the same as theone SM used to offer (they painted it red). The Caswells are nice, but a bit high on the rpms (for nitro & waterbournes). I think for now, I will get the Grizzly since I already have all the pads & motor.

I should point out that the new SM is quite nice. I love the extra long shafts and the large pad washers (whatever you call them). The shaft is thicker than most also. If SM would offer this to a much broader market, the price could come down. Yes, designed with guitars in mind, but still applicable to many other kinds of projects.
