Hi Folks!
Some of you were there last year, I hope the rest of you remember...there's a music festival in Kalamazoo, and it's a bit of a guitar gathering, too. We will have a room to show our stuff, and have a meeting....do whatever we want really! it snowed like mad last year, and kept some people away, but many of you were there all the same. Let's do it again, and make it a bigger event! Here are some details...

Kalamazoo Radisson (special room block price for festival attendees)
Friday, January 22 and Saturday, January 23
Friday: 6-11
Saturday: noon - 10:45

The reservation number for the Raddison is (269) 343-3333. For the Coopers Glen Festival discount you need to call the hotel directly and mention the festival. (January 22-23).

So if you think you are attending, it may be a good idea to have your room booked- as you can always cancel this later if you do not need it. http://www.coopersglen.com

I believe things are running the same as last year, a display table will cost 30.00 and that gets you a pass to the entire weekend, and there will be some great music for two whole days. So let's talk about it, I can try and answer your questions as well as Bryan and Susan Galloup who are helping get this thing going!

This sounds great, Mark. I'll try to make it in 2011.

Count on me again, it is a great festival and opportunity to display your guitars. The highlight last year year for me was meeting all the guys that attended and trying their guitars.

That is great you guys! I'm hoping for a bigger turnout this year, both in luthiers and in visitors. J.J., and Mike Franks...are you guys coming? Brock, Joe White? I'll try and rouse up Jim Worland again too. This thing is going to happen every year, and it would be nice if we could get lots of the OLF to respond and get together for some fun....the music is good too.
There isn't much to do in the dead of winter anyway...it will be time for us all to take a shop break and show us what you have been building!

I really enjoyed it last year. I will most likely be there again.

OK! This is going to be great! It's shaping up to be better than last year already. Don't forget to make your reservations, I'll get with Susan Galloup about more of the details.

Bump

I just talked to Susan Galloup by phone and told her I would post a reminder for everyone who is planning to attend and has not confirmed this with her to give her a call or an email so she can finalize things.

See you there if you coming
Fred
