Well at long last... I have finally replaced my old, rudimentary, homemade website with a real professionally made website!
I'd like to invite the OLF family to take a look at it... and if you'd like, share your comments and suggestions.

http://longguitars.com

Many thanks!

Bob Long

That is a terrific site - does your work proud. I didn't find one thing I would change but many things I would steal.

That is a great looking site. i currently have a buddy of mine working on one for my guitars as well. i figure 50 dollars a year is the cheapest worldwide 24/h a day advertising you can get.

One change I would make would be to have the gallery open up in the current browser window instead of opening a new one. Having the new window's blue frame pop up sort of diminishes the classiness displayed everywhere else on the site.

You're work (and the photography) looks truly stunning!

Thats a very classy website. I second what the previous poster said about the gallery though.

Beautiful site and equally beautiful work! I didn't see any sound clips. I may have missed them or it may be something you would consider adding. Otherwise I think that is one of the best websites displaying someone's work that I have seen. Very well done! [:Y:] [clap]

Its a great looking sight. It loaded us rather slow when I was a work, but not too bad at home. May be something to keep an eye on. Ditto on the Gallery in the same window comment. The other suggestion would be adding info on the models you offer as well as adding captions to the pics in the gallery. I really like that you have a gallery with a lot of pics in there. You can never have too many.

Thanks everyone! I agree with your suggestions... having the gallery in a new window isn't ideal, but apparently there's a good reason for it. I hope to put some audio on the site as well.

Thanks again guys.

Wow - really nice site. And spectacular work. You definitely live up to your last name....and set the bar pretty high for the rest of us. ;)
