What it gives you to know deflection rate and weight of the bridge?

It tells you the properties of your parts so you can learn how to control the sound of the guitar. You have to build many guitars before it means anything because it is an emperical method.

Okay, i'm doing the same thing. But for tops and bracing... I never thought about the bridge, but now you tell, it's logic...
So, a stiffer bridge will transfer more vibrations to the top? And I guess it could affect volume of bass/middle/highs?
