For those of you possibly looking for a cheaper hide glue set up, here's what I did:

I had the all the items except the "glue pot" which I found online for $20.00. If you click on the individual pictures, I've tried to type up a description of what I've done. Sorry for the lousy photo quality, can't find the wife's digital camera so I used my cell phone for the pics. I think I need better lighting over my workspace! Hope someone finds this of use.

Enjoy,
Bobby

Neat. I use that same GE heater with a coffee mug on top of it filled with water and a squeeze bottle of HHG floating inside. Keeps it more of a consistent temperature than my hot pot. The downside is the exposed hot surface that my fingers can't seem to get enough of...

I used to use a set up like that, but I kept burning my fingers on the exposed surface too. I've got a Rival hot pot express I use now. I still use my electric burner to heat my pressure cooker for steaming off necks.

you might mention that it works for hot fish glue and hot Titebond as well.

I knew I forgot something when I was at Wal-Mart picking up dog food. I forgot to get any bottled glue oops_sign
