So from what I can tell and have been advised on - this gun is great. I have been spraying with it for the past 2 weeks. I'm trying to wrap my head around how to have it set though. I am under the impression from what I read that it atomizes at only 18psi. It has a 1.0 tip on it. The manufacturer recommends 2 - 5 inches away from the material you are spraying. I've been able to lay down some nice coats by only laying it on thick and letting it run out. Problem with that is I usually get a sag or 2 along the way.

Any advice on settings as far as air pressure at the gun, fluid intake, distance from surface being sprayed, etc...

Also, I am finishing up my 2nd guitar at the moment and was wondering if letting the sags stay there through the final drying process is okay or not. I was thinking I could sand those out during the final sanding and polish. Or is this a bad idea for some reason?

Thanks a bunch...

Bad idea. Scrape or sand off the runs as soon as the finish dries and then try to lay down a good level coat.

What would be the result if I waited until final sanding?
