I attended a Michigan Fingerstyle Society open mic this afternoon at Blue Fish Music in Plymouth Michigan and the owner Paul Murphy asked me if there would be a Luthier get together in the area like last year. I answered as of now nothing is planned but we could do one here, and he quickly said why not.

His store would be large enough for about 30 of so people to gather. We thought that late October or early November on a Sunday would be good if there is enough interest.

So I guess it can and probably will happen, so who would be interested in attending and who would like to do any demonstrations.

Fred

Would really love to get to one of these gatherings, pretty long haul though from up near here the georgian bay area. We'll see maybe I'd be able to make it down.

That is great news Fred. Count me in. Just give us at least a few weeks notice on the date.

Speaking of Templates, IF OUR OLF Guitar plan templates are ready before the gathering, I will bring them for anyone who has ordered them.........

Sunday mid days can be tough for me. Evenings would be okay. The earlier the date is fixed, the better my chances of being there. It would be a shame to miss a gathering in my back yard.

Greetings!

Glad to see the enthusiasm for the meeting at Blue Fish. In brief, I'm Paul, the owner of Blue Fish Music in Plymouth. We've been around for 4 1/2 years trying to create a warm and welcoming guitar shop. Like many of you, I attended the Galloup Lutherie course. But regretfully, have done little building since, due to growing a new store and my family. My love and desire for building remains, and I will be honored to have you meet at Blue Fish at whatever date we decide on.

Sincerely, Paul Murphy

I am glad to see Paul joined our forum and has checked in on this topic.

Paul has a cool shop and has often hosted our picking parties for Michigan finger style society. I wish I lived closer and in the same country, he is about 1 hour from me if the bridge and border are not busy. The video of Kevin playing my #5 on my photobucket was shot at his store.
