Well, now that I got the fuzz problem and the white streak out of the way, and enough coats to see where my problem spots are going to be, I went ahead with a small artist's brush and some lacquer and drop-filled those areas.

I used the same nitro I am finishing with, and just dropped it right over, allowing it to sit proud of the surface and gradually level itself in...

Question is, how long should I let these dry before sanding flush and continuing with my spray job? Hour or 2 do it you think, or overnight? FWIW's its mid 80's temp, and about 58% humidity in the shop. I have a large fan running, so that might bring the humidity down a touch in the local area its concentrated on.

How long do you guys normally wait after a drop fill?

thanks!

adam

I know the boss and therfore by extension way taught when there, on repair of finishes with nitro, fill them and then let them set for 30 days or so as rule, but there have been times little less. It filling as part of the overall process before final stuff fill and sand in few days but until have it built were want, and then final coats and set for 30+ days. I guess kind of same as Todd
