My fourth instrument, first acoustic guitar. All from scratch.
Walnut back/sides from a board I got at our local hardwood supplier.
Neck is 2 piece laminated walnut with maple center veener center strip. Hot rod truss rod (I think I'll use Allied's next time).
Doolin type adjustable neck. two 1/4" carbon fiber rods support the fretboard extension.
Sitka spruce top.
25.4" scale with 1 11/16" nut, wider at the bridge for fingerstyle.
Ebony bindings, bridge and fretboard.
Cocobolo headplate, rosette, heelcap, and tail wedge.
Semihemispherical Evo frets, board is not bound but slot ends are filled with epoxy.
Gotoh tuners - had em forever, don't know what model. I'd like to find some larger, ebony buttons for them.
Logo is one you folks helped me with on the design, Andy Depaule cut it from paua abalone and gold MOP.
Pickup is a K&K pure western mini.
Finish is Emtech 6000.

Setup is close but final intonation is waiting on a new tuner. The tuners I have just don't seem to be able to lock in on the 12th fret harmonics. I've been playing this for about 10 days and it has a richer, fuller sound than I'm used to from the HD28 I usually play; not as much base, of course, but better balance, so I'm very happy with it. The sound seems to be a bit tight and I'm wondering if the top may be a bit overbraced (its the one in my avatar) but I'll withhold judgment on that for a few months.

Very nice Mr. Smith. Wasn't it nice carving the walnut neck? That stuff succumbs to the chisel so readily. You will definatly like the Allied truss rod better.
I like how in the picture of the sound port you can see the grain of the sides flow right into the grain on the neck. Good planing on that one (where is the nudge, nudge, wink, wink smiley?).

Hey, Steven took the words right out of my mouth about the grain in the sides flowing "into" the heel. Must be a steve thing.

Thanks Steve but I have to admit that I was surprised to see how well the grain lined up - I didn't plan it but the back/sides and neck did come from the same board
