I am striking out on locating some myrtle sets for archtops. Does anyone have a lead on some?
Thanks!

Go to Dave Maize's webpage - http://www.maizeguitars.com/woods/index.htm#Archtop. He is the only person I know of that specifically cuts myrtle for archtop guitars. I can attest to the quality of Dave's tonewood.

You are close to the area where these trees grow, so I'm guessing you can probably find myrtle at hardwood sellers in your area. Of course this is assuming you are able to resaw your own wood.

Good luck and please post pics of the guitar when finished.

I did check with them earlier today. No sets of Myrtle up. I'll call tomorrow. I did purchase 2 sets of Macassar ebony though!

You could try http://www.notablewoods.com. I've never purchased anything from them but I've heard they are reliable.

Thanks everyone! I'm visiting Gurian tomorrow, he says he has some nice planks. If I don't like them I'll call Notable and Maise and see what I can find.
You have all been very helpful- thanks again!
