Thanks for the warm welcome Lance. As you know, we are doing our best to have a strong showing of Luthiers at the show. As you also know, we are currently working on putting together a Q&A session on the Showcase Stage dealing with instrument building and related. We have had some fantastic builders register, and are working with some others as I type this. We invite all builders to this show, if you are displaying or just attending, everyone is welcome.

Thanks again for the warm welcome,

Paul Scott

Hi Paul,

I presume that since there will be individual builders there, it is possible to sell instruments on site... Am I correct?

Hello Marc,

Selling individual instruments is permitted at the show. As an exhibitor, we only ask that you "deliver" the instrument outside the exhibit hall. This is totally for security purposes only. Anyone going out the doors with a guitar in their hand will be stopped by security. If you are an exhibitor, then it's not a problem going in and out with an instrument. The last thing we want is someone walking off with a guitar worth hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Thanks for your question.

Paul

Glad you understand. Security at a tradeshow this size can be a nightmare. There are so many "little items" that are worth a lot of money laying around within easy reach and just as many people that would like to help themselves, unfortunately. That's the reason nothing goes out of the exhibit hall except with an exhibitor or a release signed and verified by the exhibitor.

I hope everyone is enjoying the long holiday weekend! I wanted to thank all of you that we communicated with last week about exhibiting at the Expo. I also wanted to apologize to those of you we did not get back to before the Wed. deadline for the special exhibitor rates for the Luthiers and other craftspeople, Because it was our fault, and not yours, and because of the holiday weekend, we are extending the offer through Wednesday, Sept. 9th. Again our apologies to those we were not able to get on the exhibit floor yet.

Best,

A little information I found out this morning and wanted to pass along since everyone here in the Luthier's Forum has been so supportive of the show. If you plan to attend and have not registered yet...then you are in luck! In their effort to fill the convention center to overflowing, there is a "Registration Blitz" in the process. Anytime until 11:59 tonight, you can get a three-day, all access registration for only $10. You only need to enter the code: 10FOR10 in the promo code spot. Again, just wanted to pass that tidbit along for anyone interested in saving $15 per person on your registration.

You can, of course, access registration through our website. Thanks again for all the support we have received here.
