I have looked at your videos. Nice work! Why do you say 14" and smaller? I have an 18" (and one of those hobby bandsaws with three wheels). I decided sometime ago that the hobby bandsaw might come in handy, so I kept it. I will study your videos on the bandsaw jig. Meantime, I am going to order some uncut abalam.

Mike

Edit: Chris, where is the video on the jig?

I don't think a 1/16" blade will work on an 18" to well. That 3 wheel would be perfect. You could leave it dedicated for that purpose like I do with my 10" delta. I put a comment on the jig youtube stating where you can get the blades made to size. A 6' cost $15. They last pretty good for abalam but solid shell is harder on them. This is off track so just PM me when you get around to it or post a question.

Interesting conversation, gents. I actually ordered the ZipFlex in the most narrow width as I wanted to line a very narrow Koa rosette. Worked great and now I have the soundhole cut and top braced, I really like the rosette (most importantly...my customer loves the rosette). Sorry if my pictures were a little misleading. I actually thought closeups would be of most interest to folks, but I ended up raising undue concern over the gaps or joints and possibly led some of you to believe the ZipFlex width was wider than it is.

You'll find a good use for it, and when you do, you'll find it goes in very easily.

Ken

Someone requested a closeup picture of the end of Zip Flex.

This is a picture taken of the end of the narrow Zip Flex.
From the picture, it looks like they're gluing on a strip on the bottom and sides, but these strips are not a solid channel.

Hope this helps...
