Don't know. I haven't received any emails other than the one from PayPal and the one from USPS.

I recieved an email from Evrin saying the puchased books should all be shipped by the end of the week.
He said he would have had Hesh's shipped but had to read my email. ;) :)

Hey guys, I got an email from Ervin last night. He asked me to pass this along to everyone.

Quote:
I'd promised people to send them my books several weeks ago. Unfortunately, there were delays. The books arrived at my doorstep several weeks after I'd thought they would, for reasons that I hadn't anticipated. By then I was in heavy getting-ready-for-the-Healdsburg-guitar-show mode. That festival just ended, and I've begun to sign, pack, label, and ship all the ordered books out. I expect to have them all shipped out by the end of this week, and people should have received them by the end of next week at the latest.

My apologies to all of you who have been tapping your fingers in impatient anticipation of my books. I hope that you will find them to have been well worth waiting for.

Well, I received mine today. The corners of the box were dinged, but the books made it unscathed.

I just can't figure out who this Chris Paulick is on the inscription that Ervin signed....

Sorry, it was an evil impulse... [uncle]

Ervin did sign mine, but just his name and date. I just got a moment to flip through the books (since I'm supposed to be working right now on other things), but I've already found some answers that I had been hoping to find in the books! I know what I'm doing tonight, however!

Yes, I posted that two days ago.

Two days is pretty fast from California to St. Louis for the USPS. I'm pleased.

I am so glad that I was home today. I had to sign for my books. Waiting until the weekend to get them would not have been fun. The outer box was abused, but the inner box kept the books from getting damaged.

Pat, they are signed.

I received mine yesterday. Wooohooo.

As a former student of Ervins, I can say that all of you that receive these books should enjoy them thoroughly.
I have already read a bunch of it. It had Ervins classic style. I can just "hear" him writing it. His ideas and thought process is by no means a magic bullet, but applying his ideas will certainly lead you to building a better guitar. Like anything written, some will agree and some will disagree. Just 10 days in his shop dramatically changed my approach to building guitars. Having these volumes certainly give me a fantastic reference. It was hard to digest all the info in his voicing class. Now I can always "go back to class."

Ervin is a very fine man and his lifes work is outstanding. All of us that have taken his voicing class have been blessed. Having him document so much of it in these 2 volumes is priceless.

My 2 cents
