I gave up.......I was building in a bathroom..ala heshtone and was so frustrated [headinwall] that I just gave up. Gave almost all my stuff to a local luthier I know. and stopped coming to the forum. Then last week saw a flyer for a Aloha ukulele fun hour...and grabbed my uke went down. Only on other person but I had a blast. I felt bad for just giving up and then miracle of miracles someone contacted us about renting there house which has a 2 car garage. My wife said I could use one for a workshop! So I am now back....and realized how bad (but not to bad) a job I did on my first....but I am ready to hurry up and go slow :D I am catching up and hope to be in the new place in a couple of months until then will try and fix the first and go slow.

Moral of the story go slow and do it right AND don't give up if you love it

That's the spirit Zac! If at first you don't succeed, try, try, and try again!!

Cheers,

Congrats on the move Zac! My wife and I are also moving into a house. Living in an apartment has made building very frustrating. Like you, I'm about to have a 2 car garage as a workshop. Very pscyhed!

Great Zac!
I too had to put it away for a long time, till I got a good shop.

You need to convince the wife you need both sides of the garage! Or maybe a graduated approach is better, let her have half for now, then scootch her out later.

Good to hear Zak. I was wondering what had happened to you. Look forward to seeing some progress picts. And now you'll have a real workbench to show off, and not just the bathroom vanity.
