Bob,
Very nice guitar!!!

Is that the natural color of the cedar or did you stain it? Either way I really like it.

Thanks Darryl... That's the natural color of the cedar. It's from a 2 x 6 I picked out at a lumber yard several years ago... It's 50 - 60 lines per inch! It was a VERY old tree!

Thanks John... The last photo was shot at night with a 15 second exposure. When the exposure starts I "paint" the guitar with the light from a Maglite flashlight. I think I also painted some light on the flowers that are up on the post. Actually all of the photos were done this way.

Bob, your usual high standards. Very pretty little guitar.
Could you provide more details?
Back/sides?
Rosette close-up?

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks, Steve...
Wow... I didn't shoot the back... I think I was so jazzed about the nice lighting I was getting on the top that I spaced it off.

The back and sides are from a board I found years ago in a storage building of a lumber importer. The yard man was tired of moving it around and they thought it was Brazilian and didn't want to get caught with it... He sold it to me for ten bucks. It was an 8 foot long 4x6! I think it's Granadillo but it may be Honduran Rosewood. I've been doing 3 piece backs with it.

I wished I would have done the rosette with the radial Zebra wood, but alas... I still have no time machine.

I'll try to get a pic of the back.
