Hi All,
I have the box closed on my second. My previous guitar I used a Martin laminated neck block and corresponding bolt on neck. This guitar I am using the same neck but I made the neck block. I am looking for a simple jig to route the mortise.

Any suggestions?

thanks
Richard

I made this jig for the task you speak of...
It's pretty simple to make and works well.

I have to admit that after 6 guitars I can not figure why my router bit catches and tears chunks when mortising the neck block. I tried several bits and router speeds. I only take 1/16" off at a time. So take your time and slow the bit down. Clinton

Nice looking jigs guys. I usually cut the mortise in my neck blocks when I make them but I can see several advantages to doing it after the box is closed.
