Here are a couple of matching guitars I made, slope dread style, patterned from a Larrivee slope dread body that a student owns, but I pinched the waist a bit for style.

One is a 12 fret 25.34 scale, slothead with Gotoh SEP700 tuners in Xgold, body is some of the group buy tasmanian blackwood (first sets I have used) with engleman tops. The other is a 28.44 scale baritone. The rosettes are segmented brw with blk/orange/blk lines, and double rings of red ab. FBs are ebony bound in ebony, body is bound in brw. Bridges are brw with 3/16 saddles. Headplates are matching on the two necks, as are the backplates.

Very classy, Tony! Love all the details. Is that your usual bridge design? I like it. I suppose if they're twins the Baritone probably came out first.

You've got to be close (if you haven't built it already) to #100 and I want to know what you're going to build for that. Are you going to make something over the top cool or will you just fit it in with your commissions (which could also be over the top cool)?

A few things ...

Ken - I love these tuners for slotheads, they are solid, self lubricating, and the price/value is right. As a matter if fact, the baritone did come out first .. see below !!!

Rod - getting close, yeah somewhere in the 80s I think, have to check the book. Also have a tenth ann. guitar to dream up for 2011, which will likely come first. This would have been a cool one though for either .. see below.

JJ - you are somewhat right,they are twins, just not identical ... they are siamese !!!

I really cant say for sure, but I have never seen or heard of another like this one .. it just might be the first of its kind. You saw it here on the OLF !!!!

So .... here is the real lowdown ... I must fess up. There is only one guitar, with two necks. It attaches firmely via the strap pin, and the changeover takes about 5 minutes, all tuned up and everything. I travelled with this on the Cayamo boat cruise in March, and it was pretty cool. The look I got from the security at the ariport was priceless - what is that ?? - TK - well, its a guitar ... but where is the other part ??? ..... TK - well, they are coming out in that backpack over there !!!!
