I am trying to post radi dish depths, but I no have excel, and open office won't allow calculations. And I couldnt do the algebra by calculator, something Im not getting right, boohoo.... idunno

I be looking for radius dish depths of a standard 24" dish size, to be posted in the tut forum, for those that make their own dishes.

Here is the spreadsheet that does this! I would like, if anyone can muster the energy, every 5' (except for 12*) 10, 12*, 15, 20, 25.... and so on up to 80' (Martin uses 65' sometimes) 80' could be for lutes or early instruments?)

Wood be awsums :D

I can't put the tutorial together, but if you just need access to a spreadsheet, you can use the free google docs spreadsheet, which should be more than adequate to do what you need.

http://docs.google.com/

Best of all, it's free (you just need a google/gmail account).

It's actually a pretty nice document system. If you come up with something nice/useful, you can share it and link it back here for the rest of us. ;)

Cool, actually, got it from Alain Lambert at MIMF:
I am making cheap but fairly accurate radius dishes from 1/4 MDF and roundheaded screws, so the spreadsheet was a real blessing! Thanks all!!!

I saw you've already gotten your answers on MIMF, but check out your spreadsheet. Open Office will certainly allow calculations but not everything is 100% compatible with excel.
