I believe Hank Mauel has it for final setup. I sent it to Tony for finish in July of '08.

Hank had his plate FULL, so I offered to finish it up.

Actually at this very moment, and we hope it's safe, FED EX has it. wow7-eyes

There are two last opportunities to get in on this build.

1. Shipping cash to get it to the recipient.

2. This guitar needs a nicely done label and suitable for framing pedigree listing all participants including these last two folks.

PM me if you are interested. [:Y:]

For you new folk to the OLF, this is the second collaborative effort to build an acoustic guitar. We've learned it's much easier to talk acoustic guitars than build acoustic guitars jointly. That's okay, at least we've learned.

The first guitar went to Lance Kragenbrink in appreciation of his work instituting the finest little acoustic guitar talk forum on the net. The second guitar is slated to be a gift to an industry guitar guy that had a life-threatening medical situation. Thankfully from what I know, this person is doing well, survived the immediate health problems and hopefully will enjoy the fruits of our collaborative labors and the attendant sentiments we intended.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all who assisted in the OLF #2 Guitar Building process. [clap]

Thanks Bruce!

For how ever long it took, I think its well worth the effort and I feel honored to have been a part!

So is this build still going to the desigated recipient (JH) that Brock nominated a couple years ago? I have asked this question a couple time over the past couple years and no one ever replied.

The answer Michael is yes.

Fed Ex may just finish it off for us?

According to my FedEx shipping update, it's in Memphis, TN as of 4:09 PM, their time today. Bruce, you ought to see it Monday or Tuesday.

For those that wonder, I had to pass on the project due to the rather large load of activities associated with Lance McCollum's death. Added to my own work load of customers and getting ready for Healdsburg, things just got out of hand. [uncle] Bruce kindly volunteered to relieve me of the duties. I owe him!

Hank

Not to mention the free-fall of the stock market for those who had retirement dreams go up in smoke.

I see this little window and am planning on shoving through a number of instruments including this one. Look out world! :o

It made it. Box is huge, smushed on one end, pretty good on a corner.

Haven't opened it yet, photos soon. wow7-eyes

Anyone got a set of gold screws for these fine tuners? I need a set.
Plus someone to make a label and certificate of origin for framing and one person to kick in enough cash to get this home.

I was humbled opening this box boys and handling this guitar. Everything is first class, top notch. [clap]

So did this ever get to the person it was intended for? Did I miss it?
