Here are a few details in case anyone missed it
Date: Sat April 18th
Time: 12 noon - whenever
Lunch: 2:00
Prize drawings (Thanks to Bob C, Kevin Ryan, LMI, Stew Mac, John Watkins, Joe White, Shane Neffer, Steve Wheeler and LL Baggs for donations!!!!)

Demo #1 by Joe White - prepping a guitar for finish and common mistakes to avoid

Demo #1 by John Watkins - How to carve a perfect neck by hand in 15 minutes

This looks to be a great time together. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there

Is Shane Neifer coming?

How about that L.R.Baggs donation, tell us is it a system?

Also, will there be DVD's or YouTube.com Videos posted of the two Demos, man I'd love to see that. Joe and John live would be stupendous but video would be a close second.

We had great fun at the OLF get togethers, more of the same to all of you that make it. Photos, we wanna see too.

Still hoping to make it, but still no guarantees. Schedule is yet to be determined, but I have to travel a few hundred miles in the opposite direction as well that weekend. If Saturday's free, I'm still going to try to make it though.

John, if John and Joe are willing, can we get video of their presentations?

Shane will not be there, but is generously making a donation on our behalf!
LL Baggs donated items to wear (shirts, hats, etc) - not a system, but we'll take it!

We will video what we can. I'm not sure that John would want his demo made public, but if he is OK with it, we'll record it. We'll have lots of photos of guitars and attendees I'm sure. We'll be certain to share them here!

It's actually LR Baggs, not LL Baggs. Also, add John Mayes to the list of generous donors. We'll be giving away a couple of videos.

A better title for my demo might be "how to carve a neck quickly and accurately without a CNC machine". Regarding video-taping it, I'd rather not, just because this is not a prepared workshop, but rather just a couple of time-sharing tips shared between friends. I also use some techniques that are not everyone's idea of safe and would not want to be on record recommending them to strangers all over the world.

I added a couple videos to be given away for sure. I wish I could be there fellas, but here is my only rule for the video. If you already own the video and you win it, re-draw for another name.

Have a blast fellas (and don't screw up my parts :) )

Wish I could be there too! But just too far to go! Instead I sent John W. a Kevin Ryan Neck Template to use in his neck carving demo. Not sure you can use it. Just give it away when you're done, or keep it ;) Hope you all have a great time. I'd like to see some of the video of Joe talking about common mistakes for finish prep. That always comes back to bite me at the end of the finish stage!

Tracy, part of the talk I'll be doing is about layout, so I probably wouldn't be able to use that. Thanks anyway, though.

I don't know what the man bags are but it reminds me of a time my uncle used a panty liner as a big band aid. He had cut himself and it was absorbent....he forgot he had it on until the next day at work when a co-worker in a meeting noticed the bulge on his shin. He raised up his pant leg and viola! He has a hard time living that down.

I'm sure Jerry would like a man bag. It's European.

I'd say my odds of making it are up to around 80% at this point. I hope to see you all there.

That would be great if you could make it Dave
I sent Hesh a personal invite - too busy (so he says)

I think I need to bring an extra table for the prize pile.

Add Hibdon Hardwoods to the list of the generous donors

The Hibdon care package arrived today as well as one from Uncle Bob Cefalu. Shane's stuff also came in the other day. Thanks guys!

I think you're right John. It's starting to look like we'll have more prizes than people.

I'm planning on having a small PA in case an impromptu jam occurs such as it did in Ann Arbor last year. Should I also have a guitar amp? Anyone bringing electrics?

I can bring my guitar's including my "Watkins Blue Monster Shredder!"
I also have a Marshall 8008 amp, MP1 preamp and a (now) vintage Quadraverb, plugged into a 2x12 Marshall cabinet if anyone would like to sample what a guitar sounded like in 1985 wow7-eyes

Im sure Stephen would love to bring a few of his Zbass' ;)

It would be nice to see the Blue Monster again.

I guess great minds think alike. I was thinking of bringing my just for fun amp, a Marshall JCM2000 Triple Super Lead with a V30 loaded 1960. Schwing!
