Im looking to get a nice thickness caliper, any experience with the stew mac ones? also, which should i get, metric or imperial, im lean toward metric because its more sensative. though, im not sure if i need that kind of accuracy?

The metric caliper isn't more sensitive. It is just a different system of units. Use the one you are most familar with.
