I've used CA to drop fill over lacquer before and it ended up basically invisible. I've found a couple of small areas along the binding/purfling of a guitar that I've finished in Pratt & Lambert #38 varnish that could use a little touch up and I'm looking for some advise. Anyone have any experience drop filling over varnish?
Thanks,

Good idea about letting some of the varnish thicken and then using it to drop fill. I'll give that a try. Thanks!

As long as you spray/brush another coat over it, CA dropfills under varnish will look invisible.

Laurent,
Thanks for your response. I know you have extensive experience using varnish and was hoping you might add your expertise to this thread. I have scrap pieces to test on, so I'll be experimenting a bit before continuing.
Thanks again,
