Lance
We would love to have you come.

O' Hare is the closest airport, but you can probably get cheaper flights into Midway. We can certainly make arrangements to pick you up at either airport and give you a place to stay as well.

Let me know if you can make ti and I'll make arragements.

Lance - I will mention too that there were some from your area that expressed interest in car pooling if you were interested in that option

There's also the train. David Collins was considering doing that. Whatever you want to do, Lance. Just let us know your plan and we'll arrange to grab you from wherever. Unless someone from the Midway area is coming, I would focus on O'hare. Midway is 45 minutes each way from us.

Thanks guys!
Ive been chatting with Stephen Ziegenfuss, my building buddy here in Jackson, were trying to decide if flying or driving would work best. Tickets to O'Hare are 113.00 round trip! That aint bad! And If we could toss two sleeping bags on one of Johns CNC machines and catch a few Zzzzz we could catch a flight out the next day. The Train is also an option, its stops just 4 miles from my house.

Hmm, im thinking if the Miss' agrees, I'd love to come! Stephen is already committed if I am.

Wow!
This is rockin' good news!
Real live luthiers to meet and talk with. Lance and Stephen coming in for the party. Guys to hang with that I haven't seen in a year. What more could a guitar geek ask for?
If buisness wasn't so bad I'd send John the $400 so he could come along. If anyone needs a guitar party right now it's him.

Steve

I am available to give rides to anyone coming in via public trans, i.e. to the Loop (Train) or O'Hare. I have room for two. Let me know.

If any of you have a camera with video capability, a few clips would be awesome.

We can do that - what would you want to see? Lance sleeping on the CNC machine perhaps?

It could be an FBI profiler/serial-killer kind of movie with a luthiery twist!

J, anything would be fun to see!

Seeing some guitars in action would be great. One of John's stage guitars, JJ's Les Paul, etc.

As if you needed another reason to save the date, Joe White has very generously donated a finish job again this year to be awarded at random to a lucky attendee. If you're not familiar with Joe's finishes, they are nothing short of perfection. I'm sure we'll see a lot of his handiwork being passed around at the get together.

Also, the good folks at LR Baggs were kind enough to add some very nice swag to the growing pile in our prize closet!

Joe - Are you donating the back & side set you got for FREE from Uncle Bob?

(sorry - just asking)

If not, maybe I'll donate an OSB back & side set

We've decided to kick things off at noon. Food will happen around 2pm. At last count we had 27 confirmed people. Woo-hoo!
