If you need it to be rattle can, the stew mac nitro is the only real option i see. It has a mildly amber look. Spraying anything more than a little bit of touchup with a can is a real hassle(finger cramps, slow/difficult to control build), but with care you could get a fine finish with it.
If you can get a spraying setup together, lots of people are gravitating towards waterbased lacquers, with Targets emtech EM6000 seeming like the current favorite. The latest target products lay down fantastically well, and rub out is significantly easier than nitro IMO. I dont know what they did to make rub out such a breeze, but i like it. I just finished a bass with target USL, and it went from level sanding to completely buffed out before my coffee got cold. I like to add a little bit of amber to waterbased lacquers to warm them up.
