I always wanted to get these stones after watching Todd Stock's sharpening demo video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T1p3vfV ... re=channelHowever at price of $129 for DMT and $104 for the Norton waterstones (total to $234) I was always bit reluctant in pulling the trigger. Well I have been looking around for a better deal than $234 and I think I might have found it. Again, may not be a bargain and some of you might know a better deal. However I was able to get DMT for $78.75 plus $6.99 for shipping and Norton water stones for $65.00(free shipping with $75). This brings the total to $160.74(because you have to spend additional $10 to get free shipping) Again, not a bargain but much better price than what I tought I had to pay plus $10 to shop. Below are the links to the deal I've found. I hope it helps somebody.
btw, YES, Scary sharp method will always be cheaper...in a short run that is.
