I remember reading about a home- made steam needle to remove dovetail necks, may have used the stewi-mac set, but it may have all been home made. Anyone have any info on those?

I am thinking about using brass tubing for the needle (or?) , and stainless steel flex tubing from the auto store, not sure of the steam source just yet, may look at a small pressure cooker when the garage sales hit. [:Y:]

Look for a used espresso maker for the steam.

You can use a small radiator hose, and a needle for blowing up sports balls like a football or basket ball. Get a hose clamp and clamp the needle in place.

I think a 1/2" hose (inside diameter) is what you need. Yup, hose clamp to the espresso maker too.

Very simple, inexpensive.

don't got a picture handy.

Here's Frank Ford's setup. Look down the page a bit for his pictures.
