Hi Mike,

My comments are more on the process than the logo itself.
On my first "batch" of guitars, I went with a metal "plaque" that was etched with my logo. The goal was to fill the logo with colored epoxy, sand everything then laquer.
It took a LOT of time to fill the small details with the epoxy... multiple coats were required since small bubbles keep showing up!!!
Then again, maybe it was the metal part that caused the problems... but I will NOT try it with wood... ;-)

My 2 cents...

Marc

I have not decided on fill. There are a lot of options out there.

my thoughts:
#5 on the peghead
#3 on the 12th fret (or elsewhere ;) , but maybe without the lettering? so it won't be repeated on the guitar... idunno )
#2 as the label (I take it the dashed line is for the serial number or model?)

but I think I'm just repeating myself.... gaah
it's nice, I really like it [clap] [:Y:]

I like #3 for a label, I think the one-handed carry just looks better and #5 for the headstock, nice and clean.

I have had a series of test pieces made with wood. I will try the expoxy fill and let you know about the experience. I will post pics. First, gotta find some colored expoxy. Was also thinking of adding powdered stone.

I've used the metal acid dyes to color clear epoxy - works good. You only need a drop or two of dye for an oz or two of the epoxy. As always, test on scrap.

I've heard about some stones, I'd have to check back to see wich ones exactly, that glow fluorescent with a blacklight... pretty useless and very '80s, but it could add something... I was actually thinking about trying it either on fretmarkers or somewhere else, some day. Anyway, let me know if it's something you'd like to know ;)
