I have seen pictures of people using a jig to route the dovetail in the guitar body and neck. This looks like it would create a joint that would not require a lot of additional work to get a good fit. Does anyone know where I might be able to find plans for a such a jig? I have been a bolt on sort of guy up until now, but might try my hands at dovetail joints if I could use something like that.

Check out the stewmac website- they sell dovetail templates, and have instructions on how to make the jig.

There is usually still a bit of fitting work to get all the angles just so, even when using a perfect jig.
