I'm about 80% certain that I'll be there.

I'll be in attendance for much of the weekend, but as a spectator not a participant. I'm looking forward
to meeting as many OLFers as possible while there.

Regards,

I was asked to possibly talk, but the post I put up here basically died. I realize it's the holidays, but I'll post again and see if there is any interest. If not then I may not go.

I'll be there, and I'll have an instrument or two in the exhibit. I hope there's a good turnout of wood vendors. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it, and it will be good to see some of y'all there.

Not for certain yet, but I was thinking about going, as a spectator. If I can get 2 & 3 finished, I'd like to get some feed back from some builders. Might go either way though.

I wish I could go....but I'm not allowed to fly gaah . Not because I'm on the "no-fly list" , but because of doctor's orders. I've twice before suffered life threatening pulminory embolisms (PE) from deep-vein thromboses (DVT) where the blood clots dislodged themselves a week after a long-distance flight and nearly killed me. TKALSS, it's now believed that there are a lot of people like me who have a (built-up?) sensitivity to the small amounts of neurotoxins in the fuel products that build up in the cabin air. Since the mid-1990's, the airlines have steadily reduced the amount of fresh-air mixed into the cabins (to save money) and this has led to a huge increase in flying-related DVT issues.

How long would it take to drive from California? Maybe by train? Any ideas?

Cheers,
Dave F.

I'll have two vendor tables loaded with back/side sets in QUEENSLAND MAPLE, claro walnut, extreme figured makore, keyaki, figured maples, CEYLON SATINWOOD, ziricote, marbled French walnut, BRW boards and bridge blanks, tons of acrylized and regular burls for inlay and rosette stock...many dyed pieces, koa, curly spalted rock maple, Port Orford cedar and very old genuine mahogany billets for do it yourself re-sawing. I'll also have some selections for the electric builders in burl tops, etc. This is not a complete list, but gives an idea... I may also be open to some custom cutting requests for delivery to ASIA.....Weis or harp sets for example.

Yep...planning to attend and possibly be involved as a presenter. I've had a good time at the symposium and I'm sure this coming year will be no exception.

I am giving a 2 day presentation on bending and setting up the geometry of the sides. After all these years I am getting to give back to ASIA for what they did for me. It is an honor. This is going to be a lot of fun for me. I also got an AC dorm ahhh after the one I had in 2005 at Westminster , it is going to be great..
Look for Me at a table and I will be next to ZOOTMAN

Glad to hear you'll be there, Stephen. I hope you'll have plenty of wood for sale. I'll be looking mostly for soundboards, especially Euro and red spruce.

I will try to make it, I had lots of fun at the 2005 sumposium in Mayland. Perhaps I'll bring a mando to play at the late night jams. Then again, perhaps I should just bring an empty case, I have a feeling some of the vendors will have some very tempting stuff for sale that I could fill it with.
