Also, he is indirectly responsible for the popularity of flametop Les Pauls - Mike Bloomfield got his 1959 sunburst LP from Dan. Mike was one of, if not the first to make these guitars so popular.

I don't think Dan liked humbuckers, so he traded Mike for a 50's goldtop with P90s. I betcha Dan wouldn't mind having that guitar back now :D .
