Hi Guys
I've just put an LMI self adhesive clear pickguard on my latest build.
It didn't go on too well and I've got some small bubbles in it.
I'm a bit nervous about peeling it off. The finish is EM6000.
Would 'Acetone' be ok to use on the EM6000 when removing the pickguard?

Many thanks
Mat

Matt,

Start with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive and peel the pickgaurd off. Mineral spirits will remove the adhesive from the finish.

I had to do the exact same thing on an earlier build which was finished with KTM9. I heated up the edge of the golpeador with a hair dryer and slowlyl pulled same off while heating same. I used goop be gone adhesive remover to get the adhesive off. That was more work than peeling off the plastic.
