I visited a luthier in Kaoshung. He was busy and so couldn't stick around to talk shop. But here's what he gave me:
I was only going there to get the form. Seems he is going to stop making acoustic guitars all together, said it is too much work, since he just uses CNC router to make electric guitar bodies and there's only so much you can CNC with acoustic guitars (like the neck and bridge). Finally he gave me this figured mahogany B/S set... looks almost like koa if you looked hard enough (some koa have really similar coloring to mahogany, it varies across the board it seems)
One question though, is it possible to re-bend the side for a cutaway? It is made for an OM.
