I recently picked up a commission for my first 12 string, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions regarding tuners.

Thanks in advance

Steve

Where are you buying your tuners now, Steve? Gotohs?

Alex

I tend to use M6-style tuners a lot, including the mini version on 12s -- they fit fine on Martinesque spacing. Both Schaller and Gotoh make near-identical versions. Customers sometimes request Schaller, based on reputation, but I actually prefer the Gotohs, and they're cheaper. Many alternatives for supply.

I use Hipshots on my Tiples. In fact, that's all I use - love the open geared look, but also use their Schaller clone. Good stuff, made in USA.
