Lance, I sent you a contribution. Thanks so much for hosting this site. I visit often and have learned a lot from other OLFers. Would hate to see this site disappear...

I'm gonna bump this up and echo Mike's reply, are you still short Lance? A little update so we know where things are at? Thanks!

Hey Lance,
I renewed my classified sub.
More than willing to pitch in some more if needed, just say the word.

I'm here people's, first let me say thanks beyond measure!
I asked and you folks came through.
The Emergancy is over, finances are steadied for now.
For me, I've been hammering trips from Jackson to Grand Vally State University twice a week
Since Monday of LAST week. We got my daughter all moved in and it's all good. Classes started Monday
And I'll be headed up once again tomorrow after work to bring my baby home for a 4 day weekend.

Thanks again! Words do not express the feelings I have toward this amainzing community!

I'll post some pictures of move in day tomorrow

Best
LanceK

Lance, I signed up for a small monthly donation that came in through Patreon. I haven't seen that advertised here. Is that something you'll want to do more broadly?

Thanks for the update Lance. I'm sure most of us can appreciate the time and stress involved in getting our young adults off to college.

We had our girls that were only a year apart at two campuses at opposite ends of 200 miles apart. One was 150 miles south and the other was about 50 miles north of us. Once they both could have their own cars at school it was a little easier but I sure do remember the anxiety and stress of those first few years.

I talked to a couple that were older than us the other day and they had a son in school on the east coast and a daughter in school on the west coast. eek
It's never easy.

Hang in there, it only gets harder. gaah [uncle] laughing6-hehe

Lance, on May 8 2016 I renewed my subscription in response to the renewal notice on via the subscribe.php thing. For some unknown reason, I sent another payment of $11.88 on July 2nd 2016. The Paypal record of both payments shows that payment was made to lancekragenbrink@gmail.com, which makes me concerned as to whether you have actually received this money, since your registered paypal address is different according to your post above.

My concern that you haven't received these payments is heightened by the fact that my avatar has never shown the "contributing member" logo, which I rightly or wrongly assumed was allocated to all subscribers to classifieds.

Hmm, mine has never changed either (not that I care) but I know the subscription has been received because I can see the classifieds. Now you have me worried that the donation based on this thread may not have made it to him if the email was different. I wasn't particularly careful about verifying when I sent it, I just used what was posted.

Finally got off my butt and subscribed to the classifieds. A no-brainer really. Once first sale is made (Somogyi's book set), I'll donate 10% to the board.

It looks like there are over 20 sponsors. That seems rather excellent! But they don't provide any funding to cover annual server expenses? That's a bummer, but glad the Emergency is over, Lance, and that your daughter is coming home for a visit!

This is a no brainer, I can't afford much, but I certainly couldn't live with myself if I just took from this pool of knowledge without giving something back. A modest amount sent, along with my gratitude to everyone for their time and patience.
