I'm thinking why not? It's hard and dense like rosewood, if maybe a little more neutral sounding. I have some scraps that could be used, and rosewood is in short supply so...any reason not to?

I agree, they should be fine. Probably will come in somewhere between rosewood and maple (which I tend to use)

I agree as well, as long as the hardness isnt so much so that it's brittle it should be fine. One could argue that it might be superior, I'd like to see it when its complete.

I've used bubinga for bridge plates. The guitar sounds great. Tends more towards maple.

Lots of rift cut cocobolo at Reimer Hardwood in Abbotsford......perfect for 1000 bridge plates.
